The suspects in the fatal shooting of two Spanish agents in Barbate on February 9 are believed to have fled to Morocco. According to Vozpópuli, the Civil Guard's Central Operational Unit and the judicial police of Cadiz believe the suspects are hiding in Dalia. Spanish authorities are reportedly waiting for Moroccan approval to proceed with their arrest.

The investigation, detailed in La Gaceta, includes the discovery of a drug boat on the beach of La Antilla in March. Items found on the boat led to the identification of the occupants through DNA analysis. One suspect, Karim Gabarde, is the nephew of a known Moroccan hashish trafficker.

While the main suspect is believed to have acted alone during the murders, intelligence reports indicate that all three suspects are now in Morocco. The Unified Association of Civil Guards has urged the Spanish Interior Minister to expedite the process of arresting the suspects in coordination with Moroccan authorities.
