The tourist boat involved in the August 25 incident was registered in Valencia, Spain, according to well-informed sources. The incident saw a dangerous maneuver by members of the Spanish Civil Guard, who rammed the boat from behind.

Sources further explained that individuals of Spanish nationality had brought the boat to the coast of the Nador region from the city of Melilla, intending to use it for criminal activities related to organizing irregular migration.

The incident involved four individuals, including a young girl, who were attempting to migrate irregularly from Morocco to Melilla in the boat.

The individuals had refused to comply with warnings from a Royal Marine Gendarmerie patrol, which pursued the boat in an attempt to stop it. As they neared the coast of Melilla, the Spanish Civil Guard intervened with a large rubber boat, trying to prevent the boat's progress.

After multiple warnings, the Spanish officers executed a dangerous maneuver that led to a collision with the tourist boat, causing it to capsize and throwing the four individuals into the sea.

Members of the Royal Marine Gendarmerie intervened to rescue the four individuals, who were subsequently taken to the Royal Gendarmerie station at Beni Ansar port. One of the individuals fainted and was transported to the regional hospital in Nador for treatment before being discharged.
