Al-Azhar University in Gaza announced on Wednesday that it had successfully issued certificates to the 40 graduates of the previous cohorts of the King Hassan II College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. This was made possible thanks to a generous grant from the Kingdom of Morocco, which came despite the challenging conditions in the Gaza Strip due to ongoing Israeli aggression.

This grant followed a previous one provided by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency to the university to assist 300 students of King Hassan II College who enrolled in the e-learning platform in June 2023.

Hassib Abdullah Al-Yazouri, a graduate of King Hassan II College specializing in animal and poultry production, expressed gratitude to the Kingdom of Morocco for its support for education and learning. He emphasized that even amidst suffering, Gaza students maintain hope for a brighter future and the possibility of continuing their studies and pursuing opportunities.

Nour Fayez Suleiman, another graduate of King Hassan II College, highlighted that Moroccan assistance enabled her to obtain her diploma and seek employment in her field, both within Gaza and internationally.

Last August, the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency delivered cloud servers and an integrated learning management system to Al-Azhar University as part of Morocco's ongoing support for Palestinians in Gaza.

Morocco's efforts aim to contribute to the success of the 2024-2025 academic year in the Gaza Strip by providing innovative and sustainable solutions to address the challenges facing the education sector, which has been severely impacted by the ongoing aggression against the region.
