Morocco's tourism sector continues to thrive, reaching a new historical milestone by welcoming 13.1 million visitors by the end of September 2024. The Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social Economy announced this achievement on Wednesday.

This represents an increase of approximately 2 million tourists compared to the same period in 2023, highlighting Morocco's growing appeal as an international travel destination.

September was particularly successful, attracting 1.3 million tourists, a 33% increase compared to September 2023. The number of foreign tourists during this month surged by 40%.

Minister Fatim-Zahra Ammor attributed this exceptional growth to increased air connectivity, promotional campaigns, and investments in modern infrastructure and attractive tourist experiences.

«This new record in tourist arrivals fills us with pride and reinforces our commitment to achieving our ambitious goal of 26 million visitors by 2030», she concluded.
