Royal Air Maroc's new direct Casablanca-Toronto route marks a significant step in fostering closer ties between Africa and Canada. Representatives from various Canadian associations and professional bodies emphasized this importance during a ceremony in Toronto.

Scheduled to launch on December 8, this new route aligns with Morocco's commitment to strengthening African connectivity and expanding its reach to Canada and North America.

Moroccan Ambassador to Canada, Souriya Otmani, highlighted the route's potential to create new opportunities for businesses, academics, artists, and citizens on both sides of the Atlantic. She emphasized its potential to foster regional and international cooperation and exchange.

Nour-Eddine Ezzairi, RAM's regional representative in Canada, noted that the three-times-a-week service will solidify RAM's position and demonstrate its ambition for network growth. He emphasized the route's potential to open new horizons in economics, academics, and sociocultural exchange.

As Africa's leading regional airline with over 90 destinations, RAM plays a crucial role in connecting the continent to the world through its Casablanca hub.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of tour operators, travel agencies, and African communities in Toronto. It included a screening of a promotional film showcasing Morocco's tourist attractions.

The Casablanca-Toronto service is RAM's second direct flight to Canada, further strengthening its Americas network, which currently includes direct flights to Montreal, New York, Washington, Miami, and São Paulo (resuming on December 7).
