Maroc Telecom Group reported 79.7 million customers at the end of the first nine months of 2024, a 6.1% increase compared to the same period in the previous year.
In a communiqué released on September 30, 2024, the group revealed that its Moroccan mobile portfolio reached 19.9 million customers, driven by a 3.6% improvement in the postpaid segment.
The fixed-line portfolio stabilized at around 1.7 million lines by September 2024. The strong growth of the FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home) portfolio (+34%) offset the decline in the mobile segment.
Internationally, the number of mobile customers reached 56,050,000, distributed across Burkina Faso (11,928,000), Côte d'Ivoire (11,747,000), Mali (8,393,000), Chad (6,710,000), Benin (6,135,000), Niger (3,760,000), Togo (2,952,000), Mauritania (2,503,000), Gabon (1,649,000), and Central Africa (275,000).
The number of fixed-line customers reached 400,000, distributed across Mali (253,000), Burkina Faso (69,000), Gabon (63,000), and Mauritania (15,000), while the number of fixed broadband customers reached 255,000.
