On Tuesday evening, the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) was awarded the «Most Welcoming Destination» prize at the Arab Travel Awards, held alongside the World Travel Market (WTM) in London from November 5 to 7.

This recognition underscores Morocco's commitment to hospitality, enhancing its appeal and strengthening its position as a leading tourist destination in the UK market.

At the 2024 WTM, the ONMT showcased Morocco's offerings with an expansive 800 m² pavilion, featuring a VIP networking zone and areas dedicated to this year's highlighted regions—Marrakech-Safi and Agadir-Souss Massa, both popular destinations for British tourists.

The pavilion was designed to highlight Morocco's rich culture, diverse cuisine, and the craftsmanship of its artisans.

Supported by 54 co-exhibitors, this prominent presence provides a platform for building partnerships with international travel companies and boosting Morocco's visibility in the UK and global markets.

As part of its «Light in Action» strategy, ONMT's participation in this major tourism event aligns with its ongoing efforts to expand Morocco's global footprint and stimulate growth in key international markets.

For 44 years, WTM London has been a key event for the travel industry, bringing together professionals from across the globe. In 2023, the event welcomed over 40,000 professionals from 184 countries. The 2024 edition is expected to attract even more participants, with the number of exhibitors increasing by 7% to over 4,000.
