Morocco appoints Achraf Fayda as new tourism office chief

On Monday, November 25, Achraf Fayda was named Managing Director of the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT). The ceremony was attended by Fatim-Zahra Ammor, Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and the Social and Solidarity Economy, as well as several of the Office's executives and managers.

Paying tribute to Fayda's career, the Minister emphasized that his experience with major multinationals is a significant asset in achieving ONMT's ambitions.

These ambitions include placing Morocco among the Top 15 global tourist destinations, in line with the sector's strategic roadmap. Ammor also highlighted Fayda's skills in marketing strategy, sales, and management, essential qualities for meeting the challenges of a constantly evolving industry.

In his speech, Achraf Fayda expressed his gratitude to the Minister for her confidence and praised the professionalism of the ONMT teams. He reaffirmed his ambition to elevate Morocco as a destination to a level of excellence and innovation, while consolidating its achievements on the international scene.

The ceremony was attended by Mohammed Msellek, Secretary General of the Ministry, as well as the directors and heads of departments of the ONMT, witnessing a symbolic handover for the national tourism sector.
