YouTuber «Moulinex» arrested in Marrakech over defamation and decency complaints

On Friday, a Moroccan YouTuber named Younes, known on social media as «Moulinex», was arrested upon his arrival at the Marrakech Menara Airport.

According to local media, the arrest came against the backdrop of multiple complaints against him, related to charges of slander and defamation on social media platforms, in addition to breach of public decency.

A human rights organization had filed an urgent complaint with the public prosecution, accusing the controversial YouTuber of defaming and insulting the Islamic religion, as well as promoting homosexuality through videos and live broadcasts on his social media accounts.
