Significant snowfall forecast across Morocco from Saturday to Monday

The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has issued a weather forecast predicting significant snowfall in various provinces of the Kingdom from Saturday to Monday. According to the DGM, elevations above 1,500 meters are expected to receive snowfall ranging from 10 to 40 cm (4 to 15 inches).

An orange-level weather alert was issued on Thursday, highlighting that the provinces of Midelt, Azilal, Beni Mellal, Tinghir, Al Haouz, and Ouarzazate are likely to experience snowfall between 20 and 40 cm (8 to 15 inches).

In contrast, provinces such as Ifrane, Chichaoua, Taroudant, and Boulemane are anticipated to receive lighter snowfall, with accumulations between 10 and 20 cm (4 to 8 inches), according to the DGM.
