Morocco's economy is projected to experience a growth spurt, with the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) anticipated to expand by 3.8% in 2025. This follows an estimated 3% increase in 2024, driven by a moderate recovery in the agricultural sector and sustained performance in non-agricultural activities, according to the Higher Planning Commission (HCP).
The HCP's forecasts also consider an expected rise in taxes and duties on products, net of subsidies, which are projected to increase by 5% in 2025, following a 5.7% rise in 2024. These insights are detailed in the recently published «Budget économique prévisionnel 2025» by the HCP.
In terms of value, GDP growth is expected to climb from 4.5% in 2024 to 5.9% in 2025. This growth trajectory is likely to induce inflation, as measured by the implicit GDP index, with rates projected to reach 2.1% in 2025, up from an anticipated 1.5% in 2024, according to the same source.
