Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, confirmed on Thursday, following a meeting of the Football Stadiums Committee chaired by Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, that the nine stadiums across six cities set to host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations will be ready seven months before the tournament begins.

Speaking to the press, Lekjaa stated that the Mohammed V Complex in Casablanca will be completed by the end of March, followed shortly by the stadiums in Fes, Agadir, Marrakech, and the Moulay Abdellah Complex in Rabat.

By the end of August, the Barid and Moulay Hassan stadiums in Rabat will also be ready. Lekjaa added that this marks an initial step in preparing Morocco’s infrastructure for hosting the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
