The Moroccan National Commission for the Protection of Personal Data (CNDP) has launched a deliberation on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for processing personal data.
These processes, which require special attention to integrity, transparency, fairness, and clarity, must ensure that citizens have access to means of redress, stated the CNDP in a press release. The Commission emphasized its commitment to ensuring compliance with existing legal provisions, particularly law 09-08.
As part of this effort, an international benchmark has been carried out, and consultations with global data protection authorities and organizations have taken place, according to the same source.
The CNDP plans to consult a broad range of stakeholders, including national and international experts, scientific and professional organizations, institutions, civil society groups, and any individuals or entities capable of shedding light on the topic.
Interested parties are invited to express their interest by sending an email to auditions-ia@cndp.ma, the press release concluded.
