The anti-racism association SOS Racisme announced on Friday that it will file a complaint, in partnership with Sportitude and with the involvement of PSG Inside in England, following monkey chants heard from Arsenal supporters during the Champions League semi-final first leg at the Emirates Stadium, where Paris Saint-Germain lost 1–0.
«We call on the English authorities and the London club to do everything in their power to quickly identify those responsible for these racist acts», the NGO wrote on social media.
On Wednesday, RMC Sport released footage showing the offensive behavior following PSG’s goal. In the video, young supporters can be seen making monkey chants behind a fence at the stadium. That same evening, speaking to Le Parisien, Hermann Ebongue, president of Sportitude and secretary general of SOS Racisme—who has worked with PSG for nearly 15 years—said the club had no intention of «letting it slide».

«We’ll be reaching out to the English authorities and to Arsenal to identify the perpetrators. Legal action will be taken, together with PSG», Ebongue confirmed to the same outlet.
Similar incidents occurred last season during PSG’s quarter-final clash with Barcelona, where racist behavior from some supporters led UEFA to fine the Spanish club €25,000.
