Security operations led by the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) to combat cheating during the national and regional baccalaureate exams for the 2024–2025 academic year, held between May 26–27 and May 29–June 2, resulted in the arrest of 118 individuals across the country. Among those arrested were 16 women and 12 minors, suspected of involvement in various acts of exam-related fraud.

According to a security source, several of these operations were carried out in coordination with the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST). The suspects were apprehended for allegedly possessing and promoting wireless communication devices intended for cheating, as well as for leaking and circulating national exam questions on social media platforms.

Searches conducted in connection with these cases led to the seizure of a variety of electronic devices used to facilitate cheating. These included 98 mobile phones, 87 miniature earpieces, 641 batteries, seven computers, and 28 internet connection devices.
