Moroccan runner Soufiane El Bakkali wins 3000m steeplechase at Monaco Diamond League

Moroccan runner Soufiane El Bakkali won the 3,000m steeplechase at the Monaco meet, part of the Diamond League athletics series, on Friday, clocking a time of 8:03.18.

His compatriot, Salaheddine Ben Yazide, finished fourth with a time of 8:06.44, improving on his previous personal best of 8:11.40.

Japan’s Ryuji Miura claimed second place in 8:03.43, while Kenya’s Edmund Serem came in third with a time of 8:04.00.
