Sektioui : Confidence and determination will lead Morocco to CHAN glory
DR

National coach Tarik Sektioui stressed on Friday in Nairobi that confidence and determination are the keys to winning the African Nations Championship (CHAN) final against Madagascar, scheduled for Saturday at the Moi International Sports Centre.

«Every match has its own scenario, with details that make the difference. We are very confident about the outcome of this final», he said at the pre-match press conference.

«To win this final, you need to be fully prepared at every level», Sektioui explained, adding, «Respecting your opponent means respecting yourself. But we have what it takes to succeed and claim the title».

According to him, «Madagascar is a strong team. If they’ve reached the final, it’s because they deserve it—no team gets there by chance».

«When we prepare for a final to represent our country, all difficulties fade away. A final means either being crowned or not. We are all aware of this responsibility and ready to give everything on the field to honor Moroccan football», he said.

He also pointed out that «Morocco is the only team that has traveled through all three host countries of this tournament. But this only strengthens our will and determination to overcome challenges and secure the title».

For player Salaheddine Rahouli, «We have prepared well for the match against Madagascar. We came to the CHAN to play in the final, and we are fully determined to bring the trophy back to Morocco».

«Winning this title for the third time would be a source of pride for all of us», he added, stressing, «We are fully aware of the responsibility on our shoulders and hope to offer Moroccan fans this third triumph».

Morocco will face Madagascar in the CHAN final on Saturday at 16:00 GMT+1 at the Moi International Stadium in Kasarani, Nairobi.
