King Mohammed VI grants clemency to 681 individuals for Eid Al Mawlid Annabawi

In celebration of Eid Al Mawlid Annabawi, King Mohammed VI has extended royal clemency to 681 individuals, encompassing both those currently imprisoned and those at liberty, all of whom were sentenced by various Moroccan courts, according to a statement from the Ministry of Justice.

The recipients of this royal pardon are categorized as follows:

* Among the incarcerated, 488 individuals have been granted clemency, distributed as follows:

- 12 detainees have received pardons for the remainder of their prison terms.

- Sentence reductions have been granted to 476 detainees.

* Among those who are not incarcerated, 193 individuals have benefited, divided as follows:

- 65 individuals have been pardoned from their prison sentences or the remaining portion thereof.

- 9 individuals have received pardons for their prison sentences, while their fines remain in place.

- 103 individuals have been granted clemency regarding their fines.

- 16 individuals have been pardoned for both their prison sentences and fines.
