Thunderstorms expected Monday in Morocco

Locally heavy thunderstorms accompanied by strong wind gusts are expected on Monday in several provinces of the Kingdom, the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has announced.

According to an orange-level weather alert, rainfall of 25 to 35 mm is forecast between 2 p.m. and 11 p.m. in the provinces of Aousserd, Azilal, Béni Mellal, Khénifra, Oued Ed-Dahab, Boujdour, and Assa-Zag.

The provinces of Es-Semara, Khouribga, Al Haouz, Taroudant, Ifrane, Boulemane, and Laayoune are also expected to be affected.
