Moroccan security forces arrested drug lord Moussa Azghanghan, also known as Moussa Falcon, on Tuesday morning, September 30, in Salé after a lengthy manhunt. The operation was carried out by the National Police’s anti-gang unit in Rabat, in close coordination with the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST).
According to security sources, the arrest followed precise intelligence that led to locating the fugitive, who was the subject of dozens of national arrest warrants for drug trafficking, armed score-settling, and human trafficking.
«Moussa Falcon» had made headlines in August after a controversial wedding in Azghanghan that turned violent and became the subject of a judicial investigation, prompting him to flee before being captured in Salé.
Police databases show he is wanted in connection with 51 different cases, including hard drug trafficking, human trafficking, armed threats, and ties to organized criminal networks.
The public prosecutor has ordered his detention pending further investigation into his criminal activities and his links with networks involved in drug trafficking and irregular migration.
