The 2026 Kings League World Cup of Nations will take place next January in Brazil. The participating countries now know their group-stage lineups, following the draw held last Saturday in Copacabana. Morocco will compete in Group A alongside Colombia, Chile, and the Netherlands.

As the defending champion and host nation, Brazil has been placed in Group D, together with Spain, Qatar, and Peru. Group B features Germany, Argentina, the United States, and Japan, while Group C includes Italy, France, Poland, and Belgium. Finally, Group E brings together Mexico, Saudi Arabia, India, and Indonesia.

In the tournament’s first edition, held in January 2025 in Italy, Morocco reached the semi-finals, where they were eliminated by Colombia (1–2), a team they will once again face in the upcoming group stage. In that debut edition, Morocco opened with a loss to Colombia but bounced back with victories over Ukraine, Japan, and the United States in the quarter-finals.

The Kings League, a seven-a-side football competition founded in Spain in 2022, has become a global phenomenon thanks to its innovative format and social media buzz. Created by former Barcelona defender Gerard Piqué in collaboration with 12 prominent Spanish-speaking content creators, the league blends football, entertainment, and interactivity, offering a fast-paced version of the sport that departs from traditional rules.
