A Ryanair flight traveling from the French city of Perpignan to Marrakech was forced to make an emergency landing on Sunday at Málaga Airport in southern Spain following a medical emergency involving one of the passengers.

According to air traffic controllers, the crew of the Boeing 737, operated by Malta Air, requested an urgent route change after a passenger suffered health complications mid-flight. The aircraft had departed Perpignan at 4:15 p.m. local time.

The plane landed with priority clearance around 6:00 p.m., activating the airport’s emergency protocol. Medical teams were immediately dispatched to the runway and transferred the passenger to a hospital for treatment.
