Snowfall and strong winds expected Wednesday across Morocco

Snowfall starting from 1,700 meters in elevation and strong wind gusts are expected on Wednesday in several provinces of the Kingdom, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM).

From 1:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, snowfall of 20 to 30 cm is forecast in the provinces of Ifrane, Boulemane, Sefrou, and Midelt, and 5 to 10 cm in Chefchaouen, Al Hoceima, Guercif, Taourirt, Figuig, Taza, Khénifra, Azilal, and Béni Mellal, the DGM said in an «orange» alert bulletin.

Additionally, strong wind gusts ranging from 70 to 85 km/h are expected on Wednesday between 3:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. in the provinces of Midelt, Jerada, Figuig, Nador, Driouch, and Boulemane, the same source added.
