The International Moroccan Handicrafts Fair, held in the Saudi capital and organized by the Souss-Massa Regional Chamber of Handicrafts in collaboration with the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, shines a spotlight on the authenticity and richness of Moroccan cultural heritage.

Officially opened on Friday by Morocco's ambassador to Riyadh, Mustapha Mansouri, alongside Riyadh Chamber board member Adnan Al-Khalaf, and the president of the Souss-Massa Regional Chamber of Handicrafts, Abdelhek Arkhaoui, the event also welcomed other Moroccan and Saudi dignitaries. The fair gathers over 30 artisans from various regions across the kingdom.

Under the theme «Handicrafts from Souss-Massa in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: Traditional Crafts Embodying Our Wealth and Identity», the exhibition celebrates the diversity and richness of Moroccan handicrafts, highlighting the kingdom's historical depth and artistic creativity.

The showcased items include traditional sewing, Moroccan caftans and djellabas, carpets, jewelry and goldsmithing, thuya wood carving, leather goods, copper work, pottery, ceramics, and local products.

Running until December 16, the fair aims to boost the marketing potential of the handicraft sector, promote products on an international scale, and strengthen connections with the Moroccan diaspora in the Gulf countries.

The event also seeks to improve artisans' incomes, enhance their skills, and elevate the quality and competitiveness of their creations through direct interaction with visitors and a deeper understanding of market demands.
