TGCC and SGTM win 12bn dirham contract for new Casablanca airport terminal
DR

Moroccan construction giants TGCC and SGTM have jointly secured the contract for the construction of the new terminal at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca, following an international call for tenders.

Valued at nearly 12 billion dirhams, the strategic project will be carried out on a 50/50 basis between the two groups, with completion expected by 2029.

The future terminal is expected to boost capacity at the country’s main airport while improving service quality and operational flow. According to a statement released by ONDA last November, the terminal will be directly connected to the high-speed rail line linking Tangier and Marrakech. It will feature state-of-the-art technologies for passenger flow management, automated baggage handling, and optimized use of boarding bridges, strengthening both the capacity and modernity of the Kingdom’s main airport hub.

The scale and duration of the project are also set to significantly strengthen the order books of both TGCC and SGTM. The two groups are no strangers to joint ventures, having already partnered on the construction of the Benslimane Grand Stadium, a project worth 3.2 billion dirhams.
