A Jet2 flight departing from Glasgow to Agadir on Wednesday morning was briefly grounded at Glasgow Airport after a passenger fell ill and required urgent medical attention, the airline said.
Emergency services were alerted at 8:21 a.m., prompting the dispatch of an ambulance and the presence of fire crews near the aircraft. The passenger was later transferred to Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley for treatment, a Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson told local media.
Jet2 confirmed that flight LS3701 returned to its stand to allow medical assistance and for the passenger to be removed from the aircraft. The flight later departed as scheduled. Glasgow Airport said operations were not disrupted and continued as normal.
