From this Wednesday through to next Saturday, several provinces across Morocco are bracing for significant weather changes, including snowfall starting at 1,600 meters, heavy rainfall reaching up to 100 millimeters, and strong gusty winds, as reported by the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM).
The DGM has issued an orange alert, forecasting snow accumulations between 15 and 30 centimeters on Wednesday and Thursday in the regions of Taza, Guercif, Sefrou, Boulemane, and Midelt.
Meanwhile, Ifrane and Azilal can expect snowfalls of 10 to 15 centimeters, with lighter snowfalls of 5 to 10 centimeters anticipated in Al Hoceima, Beni Mellal, Taroudant, Al Haouz, Tinghir, and Ouarzazate, according to the alert bulletin.
Additionally, rainfall amounts between 30 and 50 millimeters are expected on Wednesday and Thursday in Larache, Kenitra, Sidi Kacem, Al Hoceima, Tetouan, M’diq-Fnideq, Chefchaouen, Fahs Anjra, Tangier-Assilah, Ouezzane, Taounate, Sefrou, Ifrane, Taza, Azilal, Beni Mellal, Khenifra, and Midelt.
The DGM further predicts that on Friday and Saturday, rainfall will intensify, ranging from 70 to 100 millimeters, affecting areas including Tangier, Tetouan, Larache, Kenitra, Chefchaouen, Al Hoceima, Ouezzane, Fahs Anjra, Taza, Taounate, Sefrou, Moulay Yacoub, Meknes, Ifrane, Khenifra, Midelt, Beni Mellal, and Azilal.
