The urgent transfer of a pregnant woman in critical condition to Mohammed V Hospital in Safi, following severe complications suspected to be linked to the ingestion of abortion pills, has sparked a security investigation. This probe led to the arrest of a 35-year-old woman, suspected of being involved in the illicit sale of medication used for abortion.
According to media sources, authorities seized a large quantity of these pills from the suspect. A search of her home revealed additional stocks of the same medication, believed to be intended for distribution.
The woman was taken into custody for questioning, and an official report was filed against her. The public prosecutor's office decided to place her in preventive detention as the investigation continues to identify other potential accomplices.
