Morocco’s national youth talent development program, led by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), has received high praise from FIFA, which is reportedly considering it as a model for other African countries, according to the FRMF.
As part of its international talent development initiative, a FIFA delegation conducted two working visits to Morocco to assess the program firsthand, the federation said in a press release.
During the visits, the delegation toured several Moroccan clubs, including Wydad Athletic Club (WAC), Raja Club Athletic (RCA), Fath Union Sport (FUS), and Renaissance Sportive de Berkane (RSB). FIFA officials expressed strong admiration for the work being carried out in developing young talent within these clubs.
To further strengthen the skills of Moroccan coaches, FIFA announced that it will organize a conference next April dedicated to youth training and development.
FIFA, which helps fund talent development programs across Africa, will also provide financial support — in partnership with the FRMF — to selected clubs participating in the national program. This support will focus on upgrading and modernizing club facilities.
According to the FRMF, FIFA’s financial contribution will be channeled through the federation and allocated based on each club’s specific needs as outlined in the national youth development framework.
