DR

Mustapha Baitas, the Deputy Minister in charge of Relations with Parliament and the government spokesperson, announced on Thursday that local committees, under the Ministry of the Interior, carried out 43,412 inspections at the prefecture and provincial levels from the 1st of Sha'ban to the 6th of Ramadan, uncovering 4,038 violations.

During a press briefing following the government council meeting, Baitas detailed that 1,101 of these violations resulted in warnings, while 2,937 cases were forwarded to the relevant judicial authorities.

He further noted that these committee interventions led to the seizure and destruction of approximately 273 tons of products deemed unfit for consumption or non-compliant with current regulations.

One week into the blessed month, data from various departments confirms that national markets are normally and adequately supplied, with sufficient quantities of essential goods available.
