The Jidar Festival is set to unveil its 11th edition from April 16 to 26, 2026, with a bold mission to transform Rabat into a vibrant open-air museum. Launched by the EAC-L’Boulvart association in 2015, this festival is poised to spotlight «transmission and the Moroccan scene» through engaging «urban dialogues» centered around street art. This year's event will feature the creation of 15 murals across the city, with organizers placing a strong emphasis on showcasing national talent, aiming to «support the emergence of a robust and dynamic local scene».
As per the festival's announcement, the international lineup will also play a pivotal role. Attendees will have the chance to witness mural creations in real-time by artists such as Marat Morik from Russia, Italy's Vesod, Nassim Azarzar representing France and Morocco, and local artist Iramo in the Hassan district. The duo Ruído from Portugal and Keya Tama from South Africa will be painting in Yacoub El Mansour, while Marina Capdevila and Guillem Font from Spain, Jumu Monster from Peru/Chile, Azpeger from Ecuador, along with Moroccan artists Rosh, Ritanosko, Mizmiz, and RDS will be crafting their works in the neighborhoods of El Youssoufia and Agdal-Riad. These murals aim to be «rooted in the social context of each neighborhood».
Additionally, the Collective Wall will offer a «space for free and shared creation», involving 12 young artists and art school students. From April 20 to 26, these participants will work under the artistic guidance of BAKR, a former festival participant from 2019. To enhance the festival experience, BAKR will also lead «a comprehensive mediation program inviting the public to rediscover the city through guided tours of Rabat Art Explore #4, featuring free tours with experienced guides», according to the organizers.
Finally, the «Jidar Podcast» will serve as a valuable platform to «deepen exchanges» by giving voice to artists and various stakeholders within the street art community.
