The Saudi authorities have rolled out a series of organizational measures for the 1447 Hajj season, aiming to ensure a smooth and orderly pilgrimage, as announced by the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.
«Only those with official authorization will be allowed to perform the pilgrimage rites. Pilgrims arriving from abroad must secure an official Hajj visa, which is necessary to obtain the Nusuk card,» the ministry detailed in a press release.
These measures also involve enhancing control mechanisms by increasing the number of checkpoints and restricting access to the Al Masjid Al Haram in Mecca and other sacred sites to those without the Nusuk card. This card is issued to pilgrims before they depart their home countries.
The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs further stresses that any attempts to undertake the Hajj outside the established regulatory framework, without proper authorization or an official visa, will be considered offenses subject to severe penalties, substantial fines, and rigorous security measures.
