Morocco has officially launched the 2026 edition of EnjoyAI, described as the world's largest robotics and artificial intelligence competition for young people, bringing together participants from 64 countries and more than one million students worldwide.
The competition is being organized for the second consecutive year in Morocco by BOTI School and the Génération AI Association, the official representative of EnjoyAI in the Kingdom. More than 150 Moroccan schools are taking part, competing for a place in the international Opens and the world final in China.
Morocco's first participation in 2025 resulted in three awards at the world finals in China, including first place in the Smart Robot Design category and second and third places in the Battle of Tribes-Middle School category.
The 2026 edition is structured around four regional competitions. Following events in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra and Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima regions, competitions are continuing this week in Marrakech-Safi and Casablanca-Settat. The top teams from the four regional events will advance to the national final scheduled for late June, with the winners earning the right to represent Morocco at the world finals in China.
Organizers said the competition is designed to broaden access to robotics and AI education. All robots and equipment are provided on-site, while participants are required to solve a previously unknown real-world challenge revealed on the day of the competition. The format is intended to allow schools with limited resources to compete on equal footing with institutions that already have dedicated robotics clubs and infrastructure.
EnjoyAI is open to participants aged 5 to 16 and features challenges in robotics, applied artificial intelligence, programming and technological innovation. The annual world final is held in China.
