A total of 464,919 candidates sat Morocco’s unified national Baccalaureate examinations, held from June 4 to 6, with attendance rates reaching 96.5% among school-based candidates and 52.7% among independent candidates, according to the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the ministry said the exams took place under satisfactory pedagogical and organizational conditions, thanks to the mobilization of all stakeholders involved in implementing the necessary educational, administrative, organizational and logistical measures.
The grading process has already begun at 283 centers across the country, with 31,622 teachers mobilized for the operation. Deliberations are scheduled for June 16, while results will be announced on June 17.
As part of efforts to combat cheating, the ministry implemented a range of legal, organizational and administrative measures, strengthening the system for detecting and monitoring fraud cases, notably through the widespread use of electronic detection tools. A total of 4,126 cheating cases were recorded, representing a 49% increase compared with the 2025 session.
The ministry thanked education sector staff, administrative and teaching personnel, as well as judicial, security and local authorities, for their contribution to ensuring the smooth running of the exams. It also praised the support of institutional partners, media organizations, and the strong involvement of parents and guardians.
The ministry called on all stakeholders to maintain their commitment and mobilization to ensure the success of the remaining stages of the examination process.
