A total of 262,442 candidates passed the regular session of Morocco’s national baccalaureate examinations in June 2026, up from 250,075 in the 2025 session. The overall pass rate reached 64.8%, while 163,179 candidates will sit the make-up exams scheduled for July 2, 3 and 4, according to the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports.
Among the successful candidates from public and private schools, 154,881 were girls, representing 59% of all passes. The ministry noted that the overall pass rate increased by 5% compared with 2025. The success rate among girls reached 68.7%, compared with 60% among boys.
According to the ministry, 404,957 school candidates sat the exams, representing an attendance rate of 94.9%. A further 55,556 independent candidates took part, with an attendance rate of 55.2% and a pass rate of 37.4%.
In total, 161,657 successful candidates, including both school and independent candidates, graduated with honors, accounting for 57% of all those admitted. The pass rate among candidates with disabilities reached 81.7%, following the implementation of adapted examination arrangements.
Candidates received their results in the early hours of Wednesday, June 17, via SMS and through the taalim.ma platform. Digital versions of the baccalaureate diploma will be made available to successful candidates starting June 18. Results of the make-up session will be announced on July 11.
The ministry also announced that the top-performing students will take part in the General Science and Technology Competition on July 23 at Moulay Youssef High School in Rabat. The competition will cover mathematics, physics and chemistry, life and earth sciences, and engineering sciences.
