The Moroccan pavilion at Aldea Global 2026, an international cultural event held alongside the FIFA World Cup, is drawing large crowds of Mexican and foreign visitors eager to discover the richness of Morocco’s heritage and the diversity of its handicrafts.
Organized by the Chamber of Handicrafts of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, in collaboration with the Moroccan embassy in Mexico, the pavilion has attracted a steadily growing number of visitors since it opened. They are drawn by the wide range of Moroccan artisanal products on display, including rugs, textiles, jewelry, and various handcrafted creations that reflect the richness of the kingdom’s cultural heritage.
In a statement to MAP, the chamber’s president, Abderrahim Zamzami, said the Moroccan pavilion has been a notable success, both in terms of visitor numbers and the interest and admiration shown by the public for the exhibited products.
This participation has helped showcase the talent of Moroccan artisans and open up new opportunities to promote the kingdom’s products internationally, he stressed. The strong turnout, he added, reflects the growing appeal of Moroccan craftsmanship among foreign audiences.
Morocco’s presence at Aldea Global 2026 is not limited to the exhibition of handicrafts. It also features artistic and musical performances that have helped create a festive atmosphere within the pavilion.
Aldea Global 2026, designed as a space for cultural exchange and bringing peoples closer together on the sidelines of the World Cup, continues until June 21, with the participation of the 48 countries competing in the global tournament.
