Royal Air Maroc (RAM) will operate 12 special flights between Casablanca and Monterrey, Mexico, following Morocco's qualification for the FIFA World Cup knockout stage, allowing supporters to attend the Atlas Lions' match on Monday, June 29, the airline announced on Thursday.
The national carrier will operate six outbound flights from Casablanca to Monterrey between Saturday and Monday, along with six return flights between Tuesday and Thursday, offering more than 3,000 seats in total.
The operation marks a first for Royal Air Maroc, which will fly to Monterrey and Mexico for the first time. The direct flights will be operated using next-generation wide-body aircraft, with a flight time of approximately 11 hours each way.
To make the trip accessible to as many supporters as possible, RAM is offering a fixed round-trip fare of 10,000 dirhams in economy class. Tickets are non-refundable and non-changeable.
Royal Air Maroc CEO Hamid Addou congratulated the Atlas Lions on their qualification, saying the airline had mobilized immediately to put in place the exceptional flight program, continuing the support it had already provided during Morocco's three group-stage matches.
Passengers must hold either a valid Mexican visa or a valid visa issued by the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, or a Schengen Area member state to enter Mexico.
Tickets go on sale at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, through Royal Air Maroc agencies in Morocco and the airline's dedicated online portal.
