Moroccan embassy in China brings consular services to Hangzhou

The Moroccan Embassy in China organized a mobile consular mission in Hangzhou, the capital of the eastern province of Zhejiang, from June 26 to 28, serving Moroccan nationals living in the city as well as in neighboring provinces.

The initiative, aimed at bringing consular services closer to the Moroccan community, is part of the embassy's outreach policy, in line with the vision of King Mohammed VI and the directives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad.

The mission was hosted at Zhejiang University of Science and Technology, reflecting the strength of Sino-Moroccan ties. Zhejiang, which is home to several thousand Moroccans, is one of the main academic hubs for the Moroccan community in China.

During the three-day operation, 55 Moroccan nationals benefited from a total of 80 consular services, including consular registration, passport renewals, national identity card applications, powers of attorney and official declarations. Members of the community also received personalized assistance on a range of administrative, social and notarial matters.

The mission was the fourth mobile consular operation organized by the Moroccan Embassy in China, following similar initiatives held in Guangdong province in April 2025, Hong Kong in May, and Shanghai in November.
