Morocco: Over 337,000 students pass 2026 baccalaureate exams

Morocco's Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports announced that 337,192 students enrolled in public and private schools passed the 2026 baccalaureate examinations across both the regular and resit sessions, achieving an overall pass rate of 81.6%.

In a statement, the ministry said that 64,586 students passed the resit examinations, with an attendance rate of 86% during the session.

The pass rate among female students reached 84.5% of those who sat the exams, compared with 78.6% among male candidates.

Among private candidates, 31,034 passed across both the regular and resit sessions, corresponding to a pass rate of 54.5%. A total of 9,549 private candidates passed the resit session.

The ministry congratulated all successful candidates for completing this important educational milestone in a spirit of commitment and discipline. It also praised the dedication and sense of responsibility shown by education professionals throughout the examination process, as well as their exemplary efforts to uphold the credibility of Morocco's baccalaureate and ensure equal opportunities for all candidates.

The ministry further expressed its appreciation to families, local and security authorities, and all stakeholders who helped ensure the examinations were conducted under the best possible conditions, while also thanking the media for its coverage of the different stages of the examination process.
