34 moroccan writers will attend the French book fair that is organized from the 24th to the 27th of March. The French book fair has selected Morocco as the guest of honor for 2017. This year’s edition will shed light on the African literature and most precisely the Moroccan one. Also the invited writers will reflect according to Mondafrique the dynamic and diversified contemporary literature of the kingdom.
Princess lalla Meryem along with the French President Francois Hollande inaugurated on Thursday afternoon the Kingdom’s pavilion in the book fair. For the first time since its creation, the French book fair is going to concentrate on the Moroccan literature and allow the fair’s guests to discover the culture and specialties of the Moroccan literature.
In this regard, the book fair will be also attended by famous and distinguished Moroccan writers, namely Leila Slimani, Tahar Ben Jelloun, Abdellatif Laabi and Fouad Laroui. All these literary figures will have the chance to participate in the activities planned by the book fair organization.
