The court of Roermond, located in the southeastern part of the Netherlands has sentenced a Moroccan who applied for asylum in the Dutch country for 4 years of prison after being convicted of terrorism. The Post Online reports that the defendent was accused of recruiting militants for ISIS.
The 28-year-old man, who is identified as Mohamed A, used to live in a refugee center in the city of Echt. He used the internet to spread extremist ideology through publishing videos of propaganda.
Mohamed A. tried several times to get to Germany as a refugee after spending three years in Spain. The court dismissed the appeal and decided to maintain its verdict.
