The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) and the Rwandan Association Football Federation have agreed over the weekend on the launch of a new project in the African republic. The FRMF will finance the construction of stadiums in the country through a repayable fund between the period of three to six years.

«We can agree to construct a 3000-seater stadium for each district and depending on its needs, we will be offering different options for the construction phase», said Mouad Hajji, the head of the RFMF delegation, reports SuperSport. The stadiums will be built with the collaboration of both a Moroccan and Rwandan team.

Degaule Nzamwita, Rwanda Football Federation president, announced during a meeting in the Marriot Kigali Hotel attended by the Moroccan delegation along with a number of Rwandan senior officials that they «have set up a team composed of Rwanda Housing Authority which will be representing the Ministry of Infrastructure, Ministry of Sports, Ferwafa and Ministry of Local Government who will work alongside the team from Morocco to study the requirements of each district and advise on the way forward but the general view from all who attended the meeting is that they are all eager to have the concept implemented immediately».

For the record, the Royal Moroccan Federation is the governing body of football in the Kingdom. According to the same source, it has contributed to the construction of 63 stadiums and five natural grass ones in North Africa.
