A sandstorm destroyed the shelters of the Syrian refugees stranded stuck in the Moroccan and Algerian borders.

«The sandstorm hit the area yesterday from 7 pm to 9 pm», a source that was present there told us. «This is the second time that this happens, the first time we (local associations) we gave them sheets to rebuild their shelters. But now, we are no more able to give them food. The road we used to take is no longer accessible», adds the same source fearing that other sandstorms will occur in the coming weeks.

«It is a oasis, there is a lot of wind. It will not be the last time.»

It is a very worrying situation since a pregnant woman is «about to give birth in three or four days». Without mentioning the lack of water, which forces the refugees to drink salt water. Among them, some adults are suffering from heart problems while others have some serious infections, concludes our source.
