The demonstrations in solidarity with the Rif continue to take place all over Europe. This Saturday, a thousand of Moroccans living abroad met in The Hague to show their support for the «Hirak» of the Rif, informs the Dutch online newspaper Den Haag.
The protesters chanted «Long live the Rif» or «We just want our rights» while firmly holding the flags of this movement. A peaceful demonstration that continued right up to the embassy of Morocco in the Netherlands.
Two weeks before, several solidarity sit-ins took place in several European cities: On 28th of May, in Paris, at Place de la Republique but also in The Hague and Brussels (Belgium). The day before another one was held in Bilbao (Basque Country) where several Moroccans met to support the protest movement.
