An Indian Ministry’s annual report features a photo of Ceuta-Morocco border as India-Pak border

The Indian Home Ministry featured a photograph of Morocco-Ceuta border as part of its annual report to showcase the floodlights installed in the India-Pakistan border, The Hindu online newspaper reports.

According to the same source, Home Minister Rajnath «ordered an enquiry on Wednesday to probe a photograph of Spain-Morocco border made way to the Home Ministry’s annual» stating that the Home secretary Rajiv Mehrishi stated that : «we are enquiring into the matter and will issue an apology if there is merit in it».

The photo of the Ceuta-Morocco border was published on the 40th page of the report to demonstrate one of the projects constructed by the Ministry which was entitled «State-wise detail of floodlighting along India-Pakistan border».

The picture circulating was taken in 2006 by a Spanish photographer called Javier Moyano as reported by altnews.in online newspaper, an alternative news website which managed to spot the mistake. For the record, Ceuta is a Moroccan territory occupied by Spain.
