Nabra hassanin, a 17-year-old Muslim teenager, was killed on Sunday in Virginia, USA, New York Times reports. The victim’s body was found in a pond as the Fairfax County Police Department announced on Monday night.
According to the same source, Nabra was out on Sunday night with a group of her friends when they argued with a 22-year-old driver identified as Darwin Martinez Torres. The police said, as New York Times indicates, that the group were heading to a fast food restaurant in their bikes «when Mr. Torres came upon them in his car».
«An argument erupted between him and one of the teenagers, a boy on a bicycle, and he drove his car onto the curb in a fit of anger, the police said. The statement did not say what the argument was about. The teenagers ran from Mr. Torres, but he soon found them in a parking lot and got out of his car wielding a baseball bat and began to chase them», the American newspaper states.
The alleged killer caught Nabra and hit her with a baseball bat and then carried her in his car and threw her body in an area near Loudoun County. Torres was later arrested by the police and charged of murder.
