Two old five-storey buildings located in Sanhaja at Sidi Boujida, Fes collapsed on Thursday night without causing casualties local officials said.
According to the same source, this collapse occurred around 8 pm, after the completion of a demolition operation carried out by a company to fight against substandard housing.
The families, who lived in the two buildings listed by the Public Tests and Studies Laboratory (LPEE) as dangerous, have recently been rehoused, the same sources said, pointing out that the authorities responsible for the fight against homes threatened ruin were on scene to evacuate neighboring houses.
