Hirak : 40 children hospitalized after forces fire tear gas

40 children were hospitalized on Monday after security forces fired tear gas during the march that took place in Al Hoceima and Imzouren on the first day of Eid Al-Fitr. According to eyewitnesses, reported by Al Yaoum 24, these kids were sent to Mohammed VI hospital in Al Hoceima. Seniors and women were injured after using tear gas.

On the other hand, the clashes with the demonstrators led to severe head and other sensitive body wounds. According to the Arabic-speaking website, there is no definitive number for protesters who were injured. Some young people have avoided being treated in emergency rooms, «for fear of being arrested», except for serious cases.

Some Hirak activists have revealed to Al Yaoum 24 «was high since it was random». Several families are still looking for their loved ones following the demonstration. According to MAP news agency 39 people were injured.
