Al Hoceima's Court of First instance prosecutor ordered on Friday an investigation to clarify the circumstances under which a person currently at the Mohammed V Hospital in the same city has suffered a serious head injury.
In a press release reported by the MAP news agency, the prosecutor said that the opening of this judicial investigation was ordered after the local jurisdiction's prosecutor's office was informed on Thursday evening that a demonstrator known as Imad El Attabi, and currently being treated at Mohammed V Hospital of the city, was seriously injured in the head.
The investigation is led by the judicial police to find the truth behind that incident and its underlying causes, determine the responsibilities and take the necessary legal measures to the full extent of the law.
On Friday, local authorities said that «the health of the three people, two elements of the law enforcement and one demonstrator, who were evacuated on Friday morning in a serious condition at the military hospital in Rabat (was) stable.»
«The three individuals are receiving the necessary care at the military hospital in Rabat where they were evacuated by medical airplane early Friday morning», continues the statement relayed by news agency MAP.
