A Moroccan national arrested in Spain for ISIS links

A Morrocan national has been arrested in northern Spain for sharing ISIS propaganda on the internet, reports the Chinese news agency Xinhua.

The Spanish Interior Ministry has stated on Wednesday that the 22-year-old Moroccan suspect was «maintaining direct contact» with «Islamic State» fighters in Syria while sharing on his Facebook account photos about what they sent him.

According to the same source, the young man was also publishing on his social media posts encouraging and praising jihadist groups such as AlQaeda and Jabhat Fatah al-Sham since 2013.

The Spanish Ministry also stated that it has arrested 231 people for terrorism related accusations since 2015.
